Bioinvading Species
Invasive species are species that are not local to an ecosystem. When they are introduced into a foreign ecosystem, they disrupt the delicate balance of that ecosystem and damage native species. For example, a new predator may decimate native prey populations that have not adapted to avoiding the new predator. A new plant may consume resources and lead to deaths of local plants.
